Wolfman ft. Pete Doherty- For Lovers
For Lovers is one of my favourite music videos because of the wide range of camera angles and shots. The video is quite creative in the sense it uses a variety of shots and approaches for the audience to view. Each scene is short, with a different location and visually interesting for those watching. Both the colour contrast and the transitions are edited in this video to match the pace of the song and set a mood to the video. The camera also appears to be handheld to make the video seem more realistic, so that it doesn't look like they're being shot in a studio or an artificial place.

The Raconteurs- Salute Your Solution
Salute Your Solution is a visually interesting music video because it's use of camera angles and shots. It consists of photos of the band in black and white, but not nessesarily in a stop-motion format. Although this video is quite minimalistic, it makes it a classic.
The King Blues- Save The World Get The Girl

Save The World Get The Girl uses political demonstrations to intrigue people watching the video. I think the variety of shots and techniques such as live filming and stop motion makes the video visually intresting and bold which is why it's one of my favourites.

Massive Attack- Teardrop
Teardrop is a very different choice to my other videos I've chosen. The song was released in 1998 and the technology and video style was completely different to anything else at the time. It's different to lots of other videos in the sense it doesn't show an artist, the mise-en-scene wasn't familiar to anyone (4D baby scans weren't available then) and the video as a whole is one people remember for a long time after they've watched it.
Doves- There Goes The Fear
Doves - There Goes The Fear
Uploaded by samithemenace. - Music videos, artist interviews, concerts and more.
I think this video was always interesting because of the story it's telling, and although it doesn't make complete sense, the camra and editing work makes it flow.
Mystery Jets- Half In Love With Elizabeth
The video for Half In Love With Elizabeth has been a favourite of mine since it was released. The video itself doesn't provide any particuarly technical or complicated camera or editing work but the story shown matches the song lyrics. The fact that the video involves the queen playing basketball on a council estate is enough to make it significant.
Two Door Cinema Club- Come Back Home
I think Come Back Home is an interesting and cleverly-made music video which intrigues viewers from the start. The use of split screen throughout the video makes the story flow and connect with the song. Quick whip pans are also used to match the pace of the track, and diferent scenes and locations make the video visually interesting.
Induction task
A quick video to try out stop motion:
For our induction task, we in groups made a short alphabet video in which we shot the letters of the alphabet, cut and added them to the soundtrack. Although simple I gave us all a chance to try out the movie making program and become familiar with the essential tools to use.
